Richard Donnelly is Professor of Vascular Medicine in the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham. He undertook clinical pharmacology training and a PhD in Glasgow (Materia Medica). After a two-year British-American Reciprocal Fellowship of the BHF-AHA at Stanford University, USA, he was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Dept of Pharmacology, Univ of Sydney, prior to taking up his present post in 1997. He has served on MHRA committees, held various roles on the Editorial Board of the BJCP, and is currently Editor-in-chief of Diabetes Obesity & Metabolism (a pharmacology journal with a 2015 Impact Factor of 6.2). His clinical and research interests are in Diabetes and cardiovascular Endocrinology.
